Community Correctional Facility (CCF)
The Shafter CCF is operated under the umbrella of the Police Department. The CCF is contracted with the
California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to house 560 state inmates.
The mission of the Shafter CCF is to provide a safe environment for Staff and Inmates through Professional service delivery in cooperation with our CDCR teammates. We provide contractual services for the CDCR to generate revenues to enhance the quality of life of the Citizens of the City of Shafter, through professionalism and in accordance with the
Law Enforcement Code of Ethics and the philosophies of the CCF.
The Shafter CCF operates under Police Chief Charlie Fivecoat. The facility is comprised of 1 Assistant Chief of Corrections, 2 Correctional Lieutenants, 1 Vocational Sergeant, 4 Correctional Sergeants, 3 Senior Correctional Officers, 43 Correctional Officers, 1 Vocational Correctional Instructor, and 12 Civilian Personnel.
