2. How do I get a copy of the City Zone maps?

A PDF map of the City’s zoning classifications can be viewed by clicking the link below.  It is not recommended that you print this map, as it is configured at a page size that is much larger than the standard printer paper.  Should you need a printable zoning map of a particular area of the city, please stop by the City Services office at Shafter City Hall: 336 Pacific Ave, Shafter, CA 93263, or call (661) 746-5004.

3. Is my property within City limits?

4. When is a tract map required?

A tract map is required whenever a property owner wishes to subdivide property for sale, lease, or financing into more than 4 parcels. Standard conditions to approve a tract map include:

• Dedication of rights-of-way


• Street Improvements


• Utility easements

Public hearings are required in front of City Planning Commission and City Council.
